GARGLING
A recent study found that gargling with salty water significantly lowers the likelihood of hospitalization for COVID-19 patients, but is this too little, too late? Read until the end.

Researchers from the United States discovered that those who gargled with warm water containing varying amounts of salt for two weeks following a positive COVID-19 test had a far less lower hospitalization risk compared to those who did not. This seems like a good solution to manage symptoms without going to the hospital. Eight ounces of warm water were used to dissolve 2.13 grams and six grams of salt, respectively, to create the low- and high-saline solutions. For two weeks, 58 patients did nasal washing and gargling four times a day. The hospitalization rates in the low-(18.5 percent) and high-(21.4 percent) saline regimens were easily lower than in the reference group of over 9, 300 individuals who had tested positive for Coronavirus(58.8 percent). Basically, 3 times less likely to be hospitalized. This great news is expected to be introduced at the American School of Sensitivity, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) yearly logical gathering.
Note-Do not use tap water for nasal washing.

Of course, you can also gargle with other things besides salt. Some dentist offices were using 0.5% hydrogen peroxide. In late 2020, in a small trial, 10 patients that gargled for 30 seconds three times per day with 10 milliliters of 1% povidone-iodine cleared the virus within four days! Listerine cleared it in 80% and plain water, 40%. Yes, just gargling with water, was two times better than doing nothing.
Now, if you check https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101 ... 21262044v1, you can see that "Patients who initiated isotonic saline nasal irrigation after a positive COVID-19 PCR test were 19 times less likely to be hospitalized than the national rate." Trail NCT04559035 was done in late 2020 as well. I wish I knew that back then. I am sure I am not the only one.

Kindly remember , I am not a health care professional and you should always check with your Doctor before making any changes in your lifestyle to make sure it is safe, fair enough? I do know not use tap water during irrigation.
